1. Trainee Accountant – 15/10/2021

o B.Com or equivalent degree at a SAICA accredited university or continuously studying towards aforementioned degree
o Prior SAICA article experience required of at least 18 months.
o Ability to take direction and work well in a team.
o Pro-active and self motivated.
o Responsible and dedicated to “going the extra mile”.
o Must demonstrate personal and time management skills in order to ensure deadlines are met.
o Presentable and well spoken.
o Dedicated to quality service.
o Be willing and able to provide assistance and coaching of junior staff.
o Be actively working towards obtaining the CA (SA) designation
o MS Excel and MS Word literacy required at intermediate level
o Own transport and a valid drivers license is preferred
o Travelling to clients, local and national will be required
o Overtime will be required from time to time to meet client deadlines
Candidate must be able to:
Assist the audit managers and senior clerks as needed, but not limited to:
o Examine, analyse, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements (IFRS for SME’s)
o Preparing accounting work relating to annual financial statements.
o Carrying out basic audit/review tests and procedures as per the LGE guidelines
o Can ask questions where necessary after thinking of your own solution/s and have an understanding of all work that has been delegated to them.
o Evaluate the results of the procedures / tests performed
o Duties to be performed in terms of the requirements per the SAICA contract
o Management of SAICA TSR/PSR and ANA process of yourself
o Ensuring that you meet the minimum billings hours as per the LGE standards
